About longtermdata
longtermdataI am a PhD student in the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. <breathe in> My focus is in the long term preservation of our cultural information, which these days has mostly to do with the preservation of digital data. I am currently working with the Long Now Foundation to develop their Format Exchange tool which will be a dynamic clearinghouse for information and tools to migrate and save data in digital formats.
